Kayak in Arctic Nature on Adventsfjord

Arranged by Svalbard Wildlife Expeditions

Join us on a nice activity in beautiful Adventsfjorden.

We paddle out of Longyearbyen and have the majestic Hiorthfjellet in front of us. Hiorthamn is located at the seashore and is a former mining town.

It was established in 1917 and the entrance to the mine is 582 meters above sea level. This is a place with a fascinating history and cultural heritage.

On our trip around the fjord we can experience close contact with wildlife and bird life and get a great nature experience in the kayak.

All this with qualified kayaking guides, within our safe settings, and the trip is suitable for anyone who likes an adventure.

The tour starts with pickup and transport to our warehouse in the Sea area. You will receive your personal kayaking equipment for the day, instruction, safety orientation and environmental information will be provided along the way.

You must be able to swim. No paddling experience required, but the trip may be hard for the arms / shoulders.

We use double kayaks.

On the way back, we pick up rubbish that shows up on our way. SWE focuses on sustainability and nature conservation.

As our groups normally are international, guiding takes place in English.

Note: The midnight sun shines until August 23rd.
